The Pictou-Antigonish Regional Library Board employs over 55 people in both full-time and part-time positions throughout both counties. Our staff comprises people from a variety of educational and professional backgrounds, including those with Masters of Library and Information Science degrees, educational programs, library technician diplomas, and more. The Board also prides itself on supporting the professional growth of its employees into other areas such as community development and technology.
During the year the Board also provides over 25 employment opportunities to youth through grants from the Community Access Program, Service Canada, and Industry Canada. These short term positions allow young people to enhance their skills, create meaningful community projects, and work in rural areas.
