Museum Collections

Clothing Collection

The museum houses an extensive clothing collection from the late 1800's - 1920's.  The collection includes several wedding gowns worn by some of New Glasgow's most prominent citizens.

Trenton Glass Collection

Glass Works was an important industry in Trenton from about 1881 - 1920.  We are fortunate to have over 50 pieces of Trenton glass in our possession, including a glass hammer, cane, miniature hat and several unique goblets.

Artifacts

The museum contains a variety of artifacts, many of which have been donated by residents of Pictou County.  The collection includes household items, tools, furniture, sporting goods and trinkets from the late 1800's.

Boy Scout Museum

The attic of the museum holds a collection of artifacts from the boy scouts of the area.  Much time and work has been done to make this a very interesting and appealing exhibit.  It contains a large model of the local camp, and years worth of photos and magazines, among other objects.

Photographs

The museum has hundreds of photographs of the region, from family photos, group photos, maps, scenic views and newspaper photos.
