The perfect holiday gift for your favorite booklover - a new Library Book!
Adopting a book for your local library is a great way to give a gift not only to your friends or family, but the entire community. It is also a great opportunity to have your say on what books will be on our shelves.
Each year the regional library faces increased costs for books and other materials, and this year we are also dealing with a decrease in our materials budget. The library is asking patrons to offer this assistance as a way of leaving a lasting legacy in the form of their favorite book, while helping to keep our collection current.
Carefully selected, the list of new library books includes a variety of genres and formats, suitable for all ages and price ranges, starting at $5 for early readers. The book donations can also be branch specific, so people can choose the library location that they would like the book to be placed.
To make sure donations are recognized, a special bookplate with the inscription of the donor's name or choice of name is placed in the inside front cover of each book. As the public library is a charitable organization, a tax receipt may be issued upon request.
We welcome suggestions for purchase outside of these lists, as well as general donations toward the collections budget.
