ABOUT THIS PROJECT

Native Born: A Brief History of the Black Presence in Pictou County was published with the compliments of Scott Maritimes Limited in August 1990 on the occasion of the First Reunion of the Pictou County Black Community.  In conjunction with the year 2000 New Glasgow Black Gala Homecoming celebrations, Native Born has been made available online by the Pictou-Antigonish Regional Library.  The digitization was completed by Jolene Shaw.
