About this Project
| Pictou Nova Scotia's Northern Ocean Port was published in 1916
to show the progress and growth of the town of Pictou since the foundation
of the town was laid. A description of the work is best provided in
the Foreword to the book. This digital version
is part of a long term project, conducted by the Pictou-Antigonish
Regional Library, to preserve local historical materials and make them
accessible to a larger audience.
The original copy of Pictou Nova Scotia's Northern Ocean Port, used in this project, may be viewed at the New Glasgow or the Pictou Library. The digitization of the book was completed by Melissa Mills. The project was sponsored by LibraryNet and the Pictou-Antigonish Regional Library.
