Local History and Genealogy: Carrie M. Best
The Pictou-Antigonish Regional Library has various resources for those
interested in local and family history, including cemetery lists, death records,
and local newspapers on microfilm. The New Glasgow Library has a microfilm copy
of some issues of The Clarion and Negro Citizen
(1946-1949) a newspaper edited by Carrie Best.
The
Carrie Best Collection:
This collection comprises 50 multicultural books that were a gift from
the Kay Livingstone Society and the Friends of the Harambee Library. The books
are kept in the New Glasgow Library.
