Passenger
List of the Ship Dove, 1801
The Passengers listed below came to Pictou in 1801 on the vessel Dove, and their descendants are living today in Pictou County. The original list may be found in the Public Archives of Nova Scotia. Curiously, in Dr. Pattersons fine history, this vessel is referred to as the Pigeon, an error that might easily happen when the historian did not have the written record before him.
This list includes the names of passengers with their families, the figures in parenthesis being the respective ages of their children under 16 years.
