This year's run is dedicated to the memory of Jimmy Hawboldt of Westville, an outstanding long distance runner.
1999
This year's run is dedicated to the memory of Catherine Clark , and Blake Lumsden an elder and outstanding young athlete. Catherine and Blake were both from New Glasgow.
2000
This year's run is dedicated to the memory of Violet Paris of New Glasgow, Mother of Henderson Paris, who was a strong believer in equal rights for all people. She was called home to a higher power on November 16, 1999.
2001
This year's run has been dedicated to the memory of Mr. Dennis Francis, who was a strong believer in Equal Rights for all peoples. He was a gentleman, an elder, a friend and a great supporter of the "Run Against Racism"
2002
This year's run is dedicated to the memory of Dr. Carrie Best who was an amazing individual who spent her entire life combating the evils of racism and discrimination. She fought for equality and social justice for all people.
We also dedicate the run to the memory of Angus (Gus) Paris, brother to Henderson. He was a soldier, first in God's army, second in the Canadian Armed Forces. He fought the plight of evil and diligently worked towards bringing new recruits, especially the youth, to God. Gus was a great athlete with a passion for sports and shared his talents in the form of coaching others.
2003
Dedicated to the memory of Fred Lays, a friend, a competitor, a strong advocate of running, physical fitness and sports. Fred helped to make a difference in our communities.
We also dedicate this run in memory to Sylivia (Sis) Bowden. A relative and faithful supporter of the Run Against Racism. Sis was a very caring individual who's smile and laughter will always be remembered.
2004
Dedicated to the memory of John Brother MacDonald who was a great mentor in Henderson Paris's life! John Brother was a gentleman, teacher, coach, and a great athlete who influenced many people's lives. He was the one who encouraged and supported Henderson's running abilities which led him to continue his battle against racism and discrimination through his running.

The 17th annual Run Against Racism is dedicated to the memory of a very special group of individuals. They are as follows:
Regina Paris, Ida Paris, Eileen Borden, John Paris, and Alden Francis.
