The Westville Windmill
Bobby Allan, known as the Westville Windmill, started boxing at the tender age of 14. By the age of 23, Bobby fought more than 75 bouts.
The following are a few of Allan’s accomplishments:
- At age 16 Bobby won the Eastern Canadian Bantam title from Billy Green.
- At age 17 he earned a draw with Kid Hart for the Maritime Featherweight title.
- At age 18 Bobby won the Lightweight title from Steve MacDonald of Glace Bay.
- At age 19 he captured the Welterweight title, dethroning James MacDougald of Sydney Mines.
