Murray Temple #4 Westville
Murray Temple #4 Pythian Sisters was formed on May 22, 1912. The first MEC was Elizabeth Tanner. The only Charter Member still living is Agnes Murray Thompson who resides in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. Murray Temple was named after her father.
The Murray Temple has had three Past Grand Chiefs: Emma Campbell, Elizabeth Russell and Agnes Saunders.
A Past Chief’s Club was formed in 1927. In 1985, Past Chief Ethel Roy was honored by the members and was given the “Pythian Sisters Mother of the Year Award”, and was presented with a plaque. Her picture along with MEC Elizabeth Hughes was in the Pythian International Magazine and was seen all over Canada and the United States.
