Introduction

Each year the Antigonish Heritage Museum receives countless donations of artifacts, books, documents and many other items. We thought it might be nice to share with you some thoughts and observations recorded in Mary Helen Falt's memoir, entitled A Star in the Apple.

She wrote this memoir for her nephew and his family. The family graciously allowed the museum to obtain a copy. Mary Helen tells of her time in Antigonish, her family, her community and school. We offer a few excerpts from the manuscript here.
