Renew Your Card or Request a Replacement Card

All adult, teen and child library cards for cardholders in the Pictou-Antigonish County Region expire and must be renewed every three years. Cardholders must visit any Pictou-Antigonish Regional Public Library location or call toll free 1-866-779-7761 to renew their card.

Cardholders are responsible for all items on a card, all use made of the card and all charges made against it until it is reported lost or stolen. If your card is lost or stolen, inform the library immediately. You have three ways of notifying us of a lost or stolen card: Call toll free 1-866-779-7761, email, or visit your nearest library to report the card lost.

Reset your PIN

Like most other cards, your library card comes with a PIN (Personal Identification Number). This is a 4-digit number of your choice. If you would like to change your PIN number you can call us, tell us your library card number, and we'll change your PIN or you can login to your account from our online catalogue and change your PIN.

Apply for a Library Card

Any resident of Pictou or Antigonish County is eligible to receive a Pictou-Antigonish Regional Library card free of charge.

You can either apply online or in person at any PARL Library location. Children ages 14 and under require the signature of a parent or guardian.
